Relay Rule
for CASL Post Season Meets:
The swimmer may swim in a maximum of three events. In relay
events, eight individuals may be listed on the relay and it will
not count as an entry unless the competitor actually competes in
the event. If a swimmer is listed as any of these eight
individuals, the swimmer may swim in the Divisional, All-Star
and /or Mid-Cap meet provided he/she does not exceed the
permitted entries for the meet. If a coach chooses to scratch a
swimmer from an individual event for which he/she has qualified
for the All-Star meet in order to be eligible for a relay, the
coach must make this scratch no later than the CASL and MPSL
coaches’ meeting following all Divisional meets. This scratch
procedure will not be permitted the morning of the CASL, and
MPSL All-Star scratch meetings or the Mid-Cap scratch meeting.
Swimmers must swim in their age group as of 6/1/08 at the
divisional meet with the exception of relays, in which case, the
swimmer may move up no more than two age groups
